ADP Employment Report

The latest ADP National Employment Report showed private employers adding only 44,000 jobs in July, with healthcare and financial services accounting for much of the month’s hiring gains.

Although the ADP report is separate from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ monthly payroll report, economists closely monitor both indicators for signs of labor market strength or weakness.

Recent ADP reports have consistently pointed toward slower hiring activity, reinforcing concerns that businesses are delaying expansion plans while navigating higher financing costs and continued economic uncertainty.
