LAS VEGAS, NV — (October 11, 2026) — Queer pop artist ETHAN (Ethan Choryin Luo) is back with another irresistible electronic-pop release, joining forces with rising artist DEVAURA for his latest single, “Hope I’m Just High.” Released October 2, the collaboration blends hypnotic synthesizers, club-ready percussion and emotionally charged vocals into a dance track with a darker edge.
Produced by ETHAN and Johannes Bruun, professionally known as klipo, the single finds the New Zealand-born, Australia-based singer navigating emotional uncertainty against a sleek electronic backdrop. DEVAURA brings a contrasting vocal texture to the collaboration, giving the track a distinctive interplay between its two performers.

Two Queer Artists, One Electrifying Collaboration
The pairing brings together two artists with established connections to Australia’s LGBTQ music scene. ETHAN continues to expand his pop and R&B-influenced catalog, while DEVAURA, an Auckland-born, Sydney-based singer and rapper, has earned recognition for her genre-crossing sound and expressive performances.
For longtime JRL CHARTS readers, the release follows our previous coverage of ETHAN’s “Everything u need,” “EMPTY ROOM,” and “Do It ’Til I’m Dead” music videos.
The official “Hope I’m Just High” music video accompanies a 3-minute, 14-second single that contrasts euphoric dance production with lyrics about emotional vulnerability.
