MNEK Gets Vulnerable in ‘Muscle Marys...’ Video

LONDON, UK — (August 28, 2026) — British singer, songwriter and producer MNEK is flexing a decidedly more vulnerable side with his new single “MUSCLE MARYS..,” the third release from his highly anticipated sophomore album BULLDOZER!!, arriving September 18.

Following “REVERSE!!” and “OH NO!! ALL THE BOYS!!,” the Grammy-nominated artist shifts the conversation toward male body image, body positivity and vulnerability, wrapping an unexpectedly personal message inside a breezy, UK garage-influenced pop production.

And because this is MNEK’s BULLDOZER!! era, naturally there’s a striking visual to go with it.

MNEK Takes ‘MUSCLE MARYS..’ Straight to the Gym

Directed by Berlin/London-based filmmaker Ben Galster, the official “MUSCLE MARYS..” music video takes place inside a gym, surrounding MNEK with an ensemble of muscular men as the visual moves through workout areas, locker-room sequences and a playful shower finale.

It’s cheeky and unapologetically queer, but underneath the eye-catching presentation sits one of the most personal themes MNEK has explored during the BULLDOZER!! campaign.

Rather than simply celebrating idealized physiques, “MUSCLE MARYS..” examines what happens when men begin comparing their own bodies against them.

For MNEK, that conversation comes from personal experience.

“‘MUSCLE MARYS..’ is a song I wrote about body image and what I feel a lot of men of a certain size deal with but don’t always know how to articulate.”

He added:

“This song is me figuring it out and it shows a more vulnerable side to the BULLDOZER!! world.”

MNEK also described the track as one of his favorite songs he has released.

‘MUSCLE MARYS..’ Expands the BULLDOZER!! Era

That vulnerability makes the third single particularly interesting.

When JRL CHARTS covered “REVERSE!!” in June, MNEK was introducing BULLDOZER!! with explosive dance-pop production and choreography that turned a confrontation with toxic masculinity into an unabashedly queer celebration.

Then came July’s “OH NO!! ALL THE BOYS!!,” a maximalist, ’90s-house-influenced heartbreak anthem accompanied by footage captured during MNEK’s BULLDOZER!! BALL in New York.

“MUSCLE MARYS..” now reveals another dimension.

The infectious dance-floor DNA remains, but MNEK is increasingly using the BULLDOZER!! era to explore masculinity, queer identity, attraction and the insecurities that can exist underneath outward confidence.

That gives the upcoming record considerably more emotional range than its larger-than-life title might initially suggest.

BULLDOZER!! Arrives September 18

The picture is becoming clearer, too.

BULLDOZER!! will contain 11 tracks, with “MUSCLE MARYS..” appearing as track six. The album arrives September 18, 2026, marking MNEK’s first full-length studio album since his 2018 debut, Language.

With three singles now establishing three different sides of the project, BULLDOZER!! is shaping up as much more than MNEK’s return to the dance floor.

It’s becoming a statement about confidence, vulnerability and unapologetically queer pop on his own terms.
