Hostile Fire Pay (HFP) is special military compensation for eligible U.S. service members who are subjected to hostile fire, hostile mines or other qualifying hostile actions while serving on duty.
Beginning October 1, 2026, the monthly Hostile Fire Pay rate increased from $225 to $450, marking the first increase in more than two decades.
