HOLLYWOOD, CA — (September 7, 2026) — The World Warriors are ready to fight!

Paramount Pictures, Legendary Pictures and CAPCOM have unleashed a new look at Street Fighter, putting Andrew Koji’s Ryu, Noah Centineo’s Ken Masters and Callina Liang’s Chun-Li front and center ahead of the video-game adaptation’s theatrical arrival on October 16, 2026.




And interest in this return to the arcade phenomenon is already enormous. Paramount’s official trailer has surpassed 22 million YouTube views, while the September 1 trailer campaign delivered another action-packed look at the World Warrior Tournament.

Ryu and Ken Enter the World Warrior Tournament

Set in 1993, Street Fighter finds former allies Ryu and Ken estranged before the mysterious Chun-Li pulls them back into combat for the next World Warrior Tournament.

But there’s much more happening behind the competition.

A deadly conspiracy threatens to turn the tournament into something considerably more dangerous, forcing Ryu and Ken to confront both each other and unresolved demons from their past.

Director Kitao Sakurai appears determined to embrace the unmistakable identity of CAPCOM’s franchise, bringing its famous fighters, special moves and over-the-top personalities from the arcade to live action.

Hadoukens? Check.

Jason Momoa, 50 Cent and More Join the Fight

Koji, Centineo and Liang are surrounded by an enormous ensemble.

Jason Momoa transforms into Blanka, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson plays Balrog, Olivier Richters becomes Zangief, David Dastmalchian takes on M. Bison, WWE superstar Cody Rhodes plays Guile and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i enters the tournament as Akuma.

The lineup also includes Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Orville Peck as Vega and Hirooki Goto as E. Honda.

For longtime Street Fighter players, the new trailer isn’t merely selling another action movie. It’s selling the opportunity to watch one of gaming’s most recognizable rosters collide on the big screen.




Street Fighter Hits Theaters October 16

Legendary developed and produced Street Fighter with CAPCOM, with Paramount Pictures handling global theatrical distribution under its distribution partnership with Legendary. The film is also being presented for IMAX.

With the World Warrior Tournament officially taking shape and the promotional campaign entering its final stretch, Street Fighter is preparing to bring the fight back to theaters on October 16, 2026.
