LAS VEGAS, NV — (September 2, 2026) — Samuel L. Jackson is headed for the White House—and this presidency comes armed.

The first teaser trailer for The Beast has arrived, putting the veteran action star behind the wheel of one of the most famous and heavily protected vehicles on Earth as the United States comes under attack from a militia attempting to execute a coup.

Directed by Renny Harlin, the upcoming action thriller stars Jackson as the President of the United States alongside Joel Kinnaman, Guy Burnet, Eoin Macken and Colin Morgan, whose voice is heard delivering the terrorist manifesto.

But this commander-in-chief isn’t waiting around for somebody else to rescue him.

Samuel L. Jackson Unleashes The Beast

When the president and the country come under attack, a Secret Service agent portrayed by Kinnaman is grievously injured.

That leaves Jackson’s president facing an extraordinary option: uncovering the highly classified offensive capabilities hidden inside the presidential limousine known as The Beast.

The official synopsis reads:

“When a militia of unidentified hostiles coordinates a coup against the U.S., the president uncovers the extent of The Beast’s highly classified offensive capabilities in order to save his life and America.”

The teaser wastes little time establishing the stakes.

Explosions erupt as security personnel race to reach the president and the presidential limousine. With patriotic music driving the action, Jackson takes control of The Beast as militia forces close in.

Then the presidential limo begins fighting back.

The vehicle’s secret weaponry transforms what is normally portrayed as the president’s ultimate defensive shield into an offensive powerhouse as Jackson battles his way through the assault.

And because this is Samuel L. Jackson, the trailer still finds room for his unmistakable screen persona. Kinnaman’s character even compliments his commander-in-chief on his particularly memorable delivery of a certain famous four-syllable expletive.

The combination of Jackson, Kinnaman and veteran action director Renny Harlin gives The Beast a decidedly old-school action-thriller premise wrapped around a modern political crisis.

Harlin’s directing résumé includes action films such as Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger and The Long Kiss Goodnight, making a heavily armed presidential limousine caught in the middle of an attempted coup particularly fitting territory for the filmmaker.

The screenplay was written by Umair Aleem, with Jacques Jouffret serving as director of photography and Alex Rodríguez editing.

Keith Kjarval, John Logan Pierson and Robert Van Norden serve as producers.
