LAS VEGAS, NV — (August 12, 2026) — Samuel L. Jackson has a $30 million plan to disappear, but Eva Green would rather make his death permanent in the newly released official trailer for JUST PLAY DEAD, director Martin Campbell’s upcoming action thriller.

Vertical has dropped the official trailer for the 2026 film, putting Jackson and Green at the center of a deadly battle of deception, betrayal and marital warfare.

Jackson stars as criminal mastermind Jack Wolfe, who finds himself in the crosshairs of federal authorities and devises an audacious escape plan: fake his own death, collect a $30 million life insurance payout and frame his wife’s lover for his supposed murder.

There’s just one problem.

His wife, Nora Wolfe (Eva Green), has a plan of her own — kill Jack for real and take the fortune herself.

Samuel L. Jackson and Eva Green Face Off in JUST PLAY DEAD

What begins as an elaborate insurance scam quickly becomes a dangerous battle of wits as Jack and Nora attempt to outmaneuver each other while manipulating everyone caught between them.

The film reunites Eva Green with director Martin Campbell, who previously worked with the actress on the 2006 James Bond blockbuster Casino Royale and 2024 action thriller Dirty Angels.

Campbell brings an extensive action résumé to JUST PLAY DEAD, including GoldenEye, The Mask of Zorro, The Foreigner and The Protégé.

Jackson and Green have also shared the screen before, appearing together in Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.

Joining them in the cast are Eoin Macken, María Pedraza and Jason Fernández, with Fernández portraying Chad, Nora’s lover and the man Jack intends to frame.
