LAS VEGAS, NV — (July 27, 2026) — Apple TV has unveiled the first official trailer for MATCHBOX, the upcoming action-comedy inspired by Mattel’s legendary die-cast toy brand. Headlined by John Cena and Jessica Biel, the film transforms one of the world’s most recognizable toy lines into a globe-spanning adventure packed with explosive action, fast-paced comedy and high-stakes suspense.




Directed by Sam Hargrave, whose previous work on the Extraction franchise earned praise for its action choreography, MATCHBOX combines large-scale practical stunts with an ensemble cast that includes Sam Richardson, Arturo Castro and Teyonah Parris. The official trailer introduces audiences to Sean (John Cena), a former soldier whose life takes an unexpected turn after reconnecting with his childhood friends.
