YOUNGSTOWN, OH — (11-11-24) — Full Spectrum, a transitional homeless shelter for the LGBTQIA+ community in Youngstown announced over the weekend that they hope to open a new location in the Valley next year.
Full Spectrum new housing division is a separate unit of its outreach division. In fact The 30 to 90 day shelter for the LGBTQI+ community has been a project in the works for nearly half a decade.
According to Full Spectrum, “There is no such thing as a 100% safe and accepting shelter within a 40-mile radius of the Mahoning Valley, making this shelter the first of its kind.”
The new LGBTQI+ homeless shelter is also scheduled to provide life skills classes, work training, volunteer opportunities and housing assistance for clients who reside in the shelter during the 30 to 90 day period.
