LAS VEGAS, NV — (October 7, 2026) — What happens when the world’s most extraordinary UFO encounters become the inspiration for cinematic science fiction? Filmmaker Matthew Thompson explores that question in ANOMALY (2026), an original sci-fi drama anthology that brings unexplained aerial phenomena, secretive government programs, and unsettling encounters with the unknown to the screen.
The series’ official trailer introduces audiences to a world where the boundary between documented UFO reports and speculative storytelling becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish.

With atmospheric cinematography, mysterious aircraft, and haunting imagery, ANOMALY approaches the UFO phenomenon through dramatic storytelling rather than a traditional documentary format.
Matthew Thompson Brings UFO Mysteries to Cinematic Life
Created by Matthew Thompson, ANOMALY draws inspiration from reported UFO and UAP encounters, underwater anomalies, remote viewing experiments, and theories surrounding classified intelligence programs.
Thompson previously worked as a documentary filmmaker with Tom DeLonge’s To The Stars Academy and as a camera operator on History Channel’s Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation.
Those experiences helped inspire his transition from documenting UFO-related accounts to dramatizing the mysteries surrounding them.
Rather than claiming to prove extraterrestrial activity, ANOMALY transforms reported incidents, speculation, and unresolved questions into science-fiction narratives.
