LAS VEGAS, NV — (September 26, 2026) — The Asylum is freezing the planet one city at a time in Arctic Annihilation, its new sci-fi disaster movie from Sharknado director Anthony C. Ferrante.

Released September 25, 2026, the film stars Daniel Baldwin, Jessica Morris and Mica Javier as humanity confronts an accelerating global catastrophe capable of plunging Earth into a new ice age.




Ferrante directs from a screenplay by Ryan Ebert, bringing another oversized disaster scenario to the studio behind the Sharknado franchise.

A New Ice Age Is Coming

In Arctic Annihilation, advancing glaciers and rapidly freezing cities leave scientists racing to construct a massive thermal shield capable of protecting Earth from an approaching ice age.

But the official trailer makes clear that this isn’t simply a story about colder weather.

Massive sections of polar ice break apart, cities disappear beneath snow and scientists discover a potentially catastrophic phenomenon affecting the planet itself. As governments scramble for answers, the race to stop the deep freeze becomes a fight for human survival.




The trailer delivers exactly the kind of large-scale destruction associated with The Asylum’s disaster catalog: collapsing ice, frozen cities, desperate scientists and an extinction-level threat unfolding at breakneck speed.




Anthony C. Ferrante Returns to Disaster Territory

Behind the camera is Anthony C. Ferrante, the filmmaker best known for directing the Sharknado movies.

That makes Arctic Annihilation familiar territory for the director, although this time sharks have been replaced by a rapidly freezing planet and a scientific race against extinction.

Alongside Baldwin, Morris and Javier, the ensemble includes Johnny Pacar, Ben Ubiñas, Chelsea Gilson, Andrew Rogers, Allison Gold, Joe Finfera and McKayla Cox.

The film runs approximately 90 minutes and is rated TV-14 on its current Prime Video listing.
