SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — (September 29, 2026) — RIIZE is turning the final glow of summer into a cinematic J-Pop escape with “Sunburst,” pairing an infectious house-driven sound with a visually striking music video that has already surpassed 4.44 million views on YouTube.

“Sunburst” serves as the title track of RIIZE’s third Japanese single of the same name. The physical single arrived August 26, 2026, alongside the additional tracks “Rise Over” and “KILL SHOT,” further expanding the group’s presence in Japan.

Built around the exhilaration of summer and the fleeting sparkle of youth, “Sunburst” wraps that feeling inside a refreshing house sound that gives the track an energetic but nostalgic pulse.

RIIZE Captures the Last Rush of Summer

The official music video pushes that atmosphere even further.

Instead of relying entirely on elaborate studio sets, “Sunburst” sends RIIZE through open roads, dense greenery, bikes, water-soaked sequences and warm natural landscapes. Golden-hour lighting gives way to darker nighttime scenes as individual close-ups of the members are woven throughout the production.

The result feels less like a conventional performance video and more like fragments of a coming-of-age summer film.

Scenes from RIIZE’s “Sunburst” showcase the music video’s golden-hour landscapes, summer imagery and cinematic visual direction.

That cinematic direction has also become part of the conversation surrounding the release, with fans responding to the video’s nostalgic summer atmosphere, vivid cinematography and youthful visual storytelling.

There’s an appropriate sense of motion running through the entire “Sunburst” era as well. Ahead of the single’s release, RIIZE launched a promotional “Sunburst Train” campaign across six Japanese railway routes traveling toward coastal destinations — extending the song’s summer concept beyond the screen and into its Japanese promotional campaign.

RIIZE Continues Building Momentum in Japan

“Sunburst” isn’t operating as an isolated Japanese release.

RIIZE supported the single with Japanese retail campaigns, live performances, a release showcase and digital promotions surrounding the title track. The group had already performed “Sunburst” during its RIIZE JAPAN FANMEETING 2026 RPG appearance at Yoyogi National Stadium before the physical single arrived.

That push appears to have translated into significant commercial momentum. In September, RIIZE’s official Japanese site announced that the third Japanese single “Sunburst” had received Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

For JRL CHARTS, “Sunburst” also represents exactly the kind of release showing how fluid the borders between K-Pop and J-Pop have become. RIIZE may have emerged through South Korea’s idol industry, but “Sunburst” is a dedicated Japanese-market release backed by Japanese promotions, performances and an increasingly substantial audience.
