LAS VEGAS, NV — (August 13, 2026) — Troye Sivan has officially launched his next pop era, dropping the “She’s the Best” official music video with an unexpected combination of star power led by Nicole Kidman and Sasha Colby.

Released Thursday (August 13), “She’s the Best” is more than Sivan’s latest single. The track serves as the first single and title track from his newly announced fourth studio album, She’s the Best, due October 9, 2026. The forthcoming project follows his acclaimed 2023 album Something to Give Each Other.

Nicole Kidman Steps Into Troye Sivan’s World

Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman emerges as one of the video’s major surprises, stepping into the nightlife-centered world constructed around Sivan’s latest release.

The pairing isn’t entirely without history.

Sivan appeared alongside Kidman in the 2018 drama Boy Erased, making her appearance in “She’s the Best” an unexpected reunion between the two Australian stars years later.

But here, Kidman isn’t arriving for another dramatic film performance. She’s entering Troye Sivan’s pop universe.

The result gives “She’s the Best” something increasingly difficult for a new music video to achieve: an instantly recognizable visual hook beyond the artist himself.

Kidman’s presence also arrives as Sivan begins the campaign for his first studio album since Something to Give Each Other, giving the launch considerably more cultural weight than a conventional single rollout.

The celebrated drag performer and RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 winner brings unmistakable queer star power to a video already built around fashion, nightlife and larger-than-life personalities.

Her inclusion feels particularly at home within Sivan’s visual world.

Sivan has spent years placing queer expression, bodies, dance and nightlife at the center of his pop imagery rather than treating LGBTQ identity as something that needs to be translated for mainstream audiences.

With Colby joining Kidman and Sivan, “She’s the Best” bridges Hollywood celebrity, drag culture and queer pop inside the same visual playground.

The broader presence of drag performers throughout the video pushes that concept even further, turning the production into something closer to a celebration of nightlife personalities and queer performance culture than a conventional celebrity cameo vehicle.

Gordon von Steiner Reunites with Troye Sivan

Behind the camera is Gordon von Steiner, a director already closely connected to one of Sivan’s most important visual eras.

Von Steiner directed the official video for “Rush,” the lead single from Something to Give Each Other. That visual helped establish the sweaty, communal dance-floor aesthetic surrounding Sivan’s 2023 album campaign.

Sivan later explained that he and von Steiner developed “Rush” around the feeling of a daytime party, drawing on Berlin nightlife and carefully developed visual references rather than simply constructing another performance video.

Reuniting the pair for “She’s the Best” therefore provides continuity while allowing Sivan to establish a new visual chapter.

Where Something to Give Each Other pushed Sivan deeper into dance-pop territory — eventually producing songs including “Rush,” “Got Me Started” and “One of Your Girls” — “She’s the Best” arrives with the expectations created by that career-defining run.

‘She’s the Best’ Launches Troye Sivan’s Fourth Album

The video also answers a much bigger question for fans: what comes after Something to Give Each Other?

We now know.

Sivan’s fourth studio album, She’s the Best, is scheduled for release October 9, according to the album announcement accompanying the new single.

It will follow a period that significantly expanded Sivan’s position within mainstream pop.

After releasing Something to Give Each Other in 2023, Sivan joined Charli xcx for their co-headlining SWEAT Tour in 2024, bringing their respective pop worlds together on an arena tour.

“Rush” also earned Sivan major industry recognition, including his first Grammy nominations. The Recording Academy has described the track and its visual campaign as part of Sivan’s evolution into a major contemporary queer pop figure.

Now “She’s the Best” gets the responsibility — and opportunity — of opening the next chapter.

And Sivan isn’t easing into it quietly.

With Nicole Kidman, Sasha Colby, drag performers and Gordon von Steiner all contributing to the visual rollout, the first glimpse of She’s the Best suggests Sivan intends to keep queer culture firmly embedded in the center of his pop identity.
