Stray Kids Switch Up the Formula With ‘This & That’
“This & That” introduces a noticeably different side of Stray Kids.
Built around a groovy hip-hop sound, the title track trades some of the group’s harder-hitting intensity for a cooler, more relaxed confidence. Changbin described the song as different from previous title tracks, with experimental production balanced by a simple, repeating chorus.
That change wasn’t accidental.
During an album briefing at the Conrad Seoul on August 6, the members discussed their continued willingness to experiment rather than settle for safer musical choices.
Han explained that taking on new challenges keeps creating music exciting, while Bang Chan emphasized that exploring different genres allows Stray Kids to continually reveal new sides of themselves.
3RACHA Self-Produces All Eight Tracks
The new “This & That” mini album features eight tracks, with Stray Kids’ in-house production unit 3RACHA — Bang Chan, Changbin and Han — involved in self-producing the entire project.
That creative control remains one of Stray Kids’ defining strengths as the group continues expanding its musical identity nearly nine years into its career.
The comeback also arrives just days after Stray Kids launched the Seoul opening of their new “Run It” tour on August 2, extending the momentum generated by their record-setting international touring schedule.
