LAS VEGAS — (April 15, 2026) — GayVN Award-winning performer Milo Miles is facing a 10-year ban from entering the United States following a detention by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at Toronto Pearson International Airport earlier this year.

The incident first came to light through reporting by LGBTQ Nation and was later expanded upon in direct interviews conducted by AVN, where Miles detailed his experience and the outcome that now restricts his travel to the United States.

According to Miles’ interview with AVN, the Toronto-based performer was traveling through a U.S. preclearance checkpoint in January while en route to attend and present at the 2026 GayVN Awards. Although he ultimately participated in the event remotely and secured a win during the ceremony, his attempt to enter the United States resulted in a denial of admission and a long-term restriction.

The CBP preclearance program allows U.S. agents to screen travelers at select international airports before departure. Once cleared, passengers arrive in the United States as domestic travelers. However, the process also grants officers broad discretion in determining whether an individual is admissible under U.S. law.

Miles told AVN that he underwent extensive questioning during the preclearance process, with authorities focusing on his professional background and past activities. He explained that prior to the trip, he had consulted immigration attorneys who warned that certain types of work could be interpreted under U.S. immigration law in ways that may impact entry eligibility.

Documentation referenced in AVN’s reporting indicates that CBP officials ultimately deemed Miles inadmissible under provisions that allow entry denial based on past or suspected involvement in activities categorized as unlawful under federal guidelines.

During his interview, Miles acknowledged that he had previously engaged in escorting in addition to his work in digital entertainment. While he described those experiences as consensual and separate from his studio-based productions, the admission appears to have played a role in the agency’s final determination.

A CBP spokesperson, responding to inquiries cited in AVN’s coverage, stated that the decision was based on statements made during the inspection process and emphasized that U.S. law governs admissibility decisions. The agency did not provide additional clarification on how distinctions are made between different forms of adult industry work.

The case underscores the challenges faced by international performers navigating U.S. immigration rules, particularly in industries where legal definitions and classifications may vary across jurisdictions.

Miles, who holds dual citizenship in Canada and Colombia, now faces significant limitations on his ability to travel to the United States for both professional opportunities and personal commitments. He told AVN that the outcome has forced him to reassess his career plans moving forward.

As first reported by LGBTQ Nation and further detailed through AVN’s direct interview, the situation is drawing wider attention across LGBTQ+ media and digital entertainment sectors, with ongoing discussions about how immigration policies intersect with modern digital professions.
