DETROIT, MI — (05-03-19) — Police are investigating an attempted carjacking that took place early Friday morning.
The woman was going to her car in the adult store parking lot located in the 9000 block of Hayes Street, when a man attempted to carjack her. Detroit police say that the incident took place around 1:50 a.m. this morning.
Police described the attacker as a black man. Wow, that really narrows down the suspects! Why police would only release that as a description is beyond belief.

They further state that the male suspect hit the woman in the face. It then turned into a scuffle between the two. The woman was able to get away and drove herself to the hospital.
Police say that surveillance footage of the incident could be released soon.
