MARIETTA, GA — Marietta Police have confirmed that they have arrested a 25-year-old Acworth man who was wanted in the armed robbery of a Roswell Road adult entertainment store.

Police told JRL CHARTS that the suspect identified as Willie Demetrics Shaw, entered the adult store Elations located at 1424 Roswell Rd, around 2. am. on August 24 and held the clerk on duty at gunpoint before escaping the scene with cash and several of the clerk’s personal belongings.

After an intense investigation, Shaw was arrested in Austell this week. Investigators identified Shaw using surveillance footage taken from Elations as well as nearby businesses. They also had fingerprints of Shaw that were left behind at the scene of the crime, said police.

Shaw is being charged with two counts of armed robbery however police say another suspect who waited for Shaw outside the store during the robbery is still on the loose and they are eager to bring him to justice.

The alleged armed robbery suspects made off with a grand total of $220.97 from the adult store, according to police reports. Police also claim that on top of the cash stolen from Elations, they also stole a cheetah print purse from the employee containing which contained one cellphone, keys, her debit card and her driver’s license.

Shaw is being held without bail at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
