“This Is It!” was one of Wisconsin’s longest-running LGBTQ bars, operating in downtown Milwaukee for nearly six decades. Founded in 1968 by June Brehm and her son Joseph, the venue became a cornerstone of LGBTQ nightlife and community life across the Great Lakes region.

Known for its welcoming environment and colorful identity, the bar served generations of patrons before closing in 2025. Its legacy continues today through historical recognition and its connection to drag superstar Trixie Mattel, helping preserve the cultural importance of LGBTQ safe spaces in American history.
