Europe Production Hold Extended to August 14

BARCELONA, Spain — (August 7, 2026) — Europe’s adult entertainment production hold is being advised to remain in place for another week, with Talent Testing Service Europe (TTS) recommending that performers consider August 14 as the earliest date to resume work following a recent syphilis exposure.

The latest advisory marks a significant development from the initial industry-wide precautionary pause reported by JRL CHARTS on July 31.

In that original report, TTS Europe recommended a temporary halt after a male performer in Spain tested positive for syphilis. The confirmed test prompted contact tracing, testing and notification of performers who may have been exposed.

TTS Completes Contact-Tracing Review

According to the August 7 update provided to JRL CHARTS, Talent Testing Services has now completed its contact-tracing review connected to the recent European exposure.

The organization said performers identified through the information provided were promptly notified and advised to undergo testing and/or treatment.

Based on the known exposure timeline and current laboratory data, TTS suggests August 14 as the earliest point performers should consider returning to work.

However, the organization is also urging caution beyond that date, noting that syphilis can have an incubation period of up to 90 days.

TTS is advising performers to remain informed about their partners’ recent testing history and to request current test results before working together.

August 14 Is an Advisory — Not an Automatic All-Clear

The distinction is important for performers, studios and production companies.

August 14 represents the earliest date TTS currently suggests considering a return to work, rather than a declaration that all potential health concerns will have passed by that date.

The continuing caution reflects the organization’s assessment of the exposure timeline, available information and laboratory data.

The production pause has remained a precautionary health measure while potentially affected performers undergo evaluation. Studios including Nikki’s Models, Jul Models and Brill Babes supported the original suspension when it was announced last month.

Europe’s Production Hold Remains in Effect

For now, the industry is being advised to continue the hold through Friday, August 14, while performers and production companies monitor testing information and follow TTS guidance.

The latest development also provides the European industry with its first tentative timetable for resuming production since the precautionary shutdown began.
