DALLAS, TX — (August 2, 2026) — Federal prosecutors have unsealed a sweeping indictment charging eight individuals in connection with an alleged years-long sex trafficking enterprise tied to the Paris Adult Book Store on Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas, marking one of the most significant federal human trafficking prosecutions in North Texas this year.
The indictment follows an extensive multi-agency investigation involving the U.S. Department of Justice, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI), and local law enforcement agencies. Federal authorities allege the defendants participated in an organized criminal enterprise that exploited vulnerable adults and minors while operating through the adult bookstore and surrounding properties.

Serious Federal Charges Filed
According to the indictment, the eight defendants face a range of federal charges that include:
- Conspiracy to commit sex trafficking
- Sex trafficking through force, fraud, or coercion
- Trafficking of a minor
- Conspiracy to commit money laundering
- Firearms-related offenses involving a convicted felon
Federal prosecutors also announced that investigators seized 21 firearms during the investigation, underscoring the alleged scope of the criminal operation.
Investigation Began Earlier This Year
The indictments stem from coordinated federal raids carried out in February 2026, when agents executed search warrants at the Paris Adult Book Store and additional locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. At the time, investigators removed financial records, evidence, and arrested multiple suspects as authorities expanded their investigation into suspected human trafficking and organized criminal activity.
Officials say six of the defendants worked at the Paris Adult Book Store between 2018 and 2025, while two others allegedly used the property’s parking lot and back rooms to facilitate commercial sex trafficking involving adults and minors.
Adult Retailers Should Not Be Painted With the Same Brush
Industry leaders have long emphasized that legitimate adult retailers operate lawfully, comply with licensing requirements, and have no connection to criminal enterprises engaged in human trafficking.
Federal authorities have stressed that this case targets individuals accused of exploiting vulnerable victims—not the adult retail industry as a whole. Licensed adult novelty stores across the United States continue to operate legally while supporting responsible retail practices and consumer education.
Investigation Remains Active
The U.S. Attorney’s Office indicated that the investigation remains ongoing and additional legal proceedings are expected as the case moves through federal court.
As with all federal criminal cases, the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
