Johannes Plettenberg, Chief Executive Officer of Lovehoney Group, said the resolution reflects the company’s commitment to protecting its intellectual property and supporting innovation within the sexual wellness sector.
“This agreement reaffirms WOW Tech’s commitment to protecting our intellectual property, which is the result of years of innovation, investment and dedication to advancing the sexual wellness industry,” said Plettenberg. “We appreciate XR Brands’ willingness to recognize the value of our intellectual property and look forward to a productive licensing relationship that supports innovation while respecting creators’ rights.”
Rebecca Weinberg, President of XR Brands, emphasized the company’s longstanding support for innovation and fair competition within the marketplace.
“XR Brands has always been a supporter of innovation and fair competition in the marketplace,” said Weinberg. “We are pleased to have reached a resolution that enables us to move forward while honoring WOW Tech’s intellectual property. We value this opportunity to work together and offer our customers the ability to sell these top-selling products knowing they are covered by this license agreement.”
The settlement brings an end to the legal proceedings while establishing a framework for continued collaboration through licensing, allowing both companies to focus on product innovation and growth within the global sexual wellness market.
Industry observers note that licensing agreements of this nature have become increasingly important as manufacturers seek to protect proprietary technologies while ensuring continued product availability across retail channels.
