NEW YORK, NY — (June 24, 2025) — Pop breakout Benson Boone lights up the internet with his tongue-in-cheek visual for “Mr. Electric Blue,” the playful new single off his freshly released LP American Heart. Released on June 20, the music video blends sarcasm, self-awareness, and strong vocals, positioning Boone as a pop provocateur who can laugh at his own meteoric rise.

From the opening scene, Boone walks into the fictional “Industry Plant Records” donning a bold “one hit wonder” t-shirt, confronting the criticism he’s faced online with humor and authenticity. The agent? Played by none other than his real-life songwriting partner Jack LaFrantz, who leans into the satire alongside Boone in a hilarious performance.
Boone continues to show his self-aware streak — echoing a viral Tik Tok from April where he clapped back at a vague insult with humor:
“I just read a comment that said ‘idek why I hate Benson Boone but it feels right’… Like WHAT!!? At least say something valid like ‘he just flips everywhere — can he do anything else?’”
The video, directed by Matt Eastin, blends polished visuals with eccentric charm — a reminder that Boone doesn’t just own his narrative — he rewrites it.
