SAN ANTONIO, TX — (05-12-25) — A northwest San Antonio adult boutique is taking a bold stand against shoplifters — not just by filing a police report, but by turning to social media to expose the alleged thieves.

Love Shack Boutique, a specialty adult store located on Babcock Road, took to its official social channels last week after two women allegedly stole from the store. Instead of quietly handling the incident behind closed doors, the boutique shared surveillance footage and posted a scathing message aimed at the suspects.

“You steal from us and we are going to blast you all over social media,” the store declared in its now-viral post. “And in turn, the media may contact us for interviews — which is exactly what happened this time!”

The post nicknamed the suspects “the Denial Duo” and “the Dumb and Dumber bandits,” claiming the women browsed the store, signed up for its VIP program using what appeared to be their real names and phone numbers, and then exited with two unpaid items.

“Say hello to the Denial Duo!” the boutique wrote. “These two ladies… decided to treat themselves to a five-finger discount and stroll right out the front door.”

According to store officials, surveillance footage clearly shows the theft. Before going public, however, the boutique says it tried to resolve the matter privately by reaching out to the suspects.

“Being the kind-hearted soul I am,” the post continued, “I texted them and offered a chance to come back and do the right thing. But instead of owning up, one of them pulled a full-blown gaslight special claiming they didn’t take anything.”

Rather than demanding the return of the stolen items, Love Shack simply requested that the women return to pay for them. The boutique’s public approach reflects a growing trend among small businesses using social media as a tool for accountability in the face of shoplifting — especially when legal recourse can be slow or ineffective.

The viral post has sparked debate online, with some praising the store’s proactive stance while others question the ethics of trial-by-social-media. Still, for Love Shack Boutique, the goal is clear: discourage theft and protect small businesses by shining a spotlight on bad behavior.
