LAS VEGAS, NV — (12-17-24) — With facts be damned, right wing media outlets across the spectrum are pushing the “CLICKBAIT” headline of “GOP pushing Trump to Repeal Gay Marriage”, even though same-sex marriage has been protected ever since president Biden signed into law the “Respect for Marriage Act“.
Right wing media is depending on the concerns of some that continue to listen to people who claim that same-sex marriage could be under threat due to the fact that several members of the conservative packed U.S. Supreme Court has voiced opinions to overturn their ruling that made same-sex marriage the law of the land on June 26, 2015.
However following their ruling, and to protect same-sex marriage, president Biden and the democrats successfully pushed through the “Respect for Marriage Act” on December 12, 2022, which provides statutory authority for same-sex and interracial marriages. It was also meant to prevent the conservative packed U.S. Supreme Court from overturning their historic ruling as they did with Roe v Wade back in June of 2022.
But facts aren’t a priority for right wing media outlets, CLICKBAIT is! So please LGBTQ Americans, same-sex marriage isn’t going anywhere.
