VALDOSTA, GA — (01-27-22) — A group of Valdosta State University (VSU) LGBT students held a protest Wednesday afternoon after students allege that two men from a religious group came on campus shouting obscene comments.

LGBT students at VSU say they organized a protest after the two men came on campus shouting anti-gay slurs in front of Nevins Hall. After disrupting classes, the two men were moved to the expression platform in front of Langdale Hall.

VSU’s Student Diversity and Inclusion Office released the following statement on Instagram.

According to witnesses, the two men of the religious group were on campus from 11 a.m.-3:50 p.m.
