LGBT POLITICS – (12-03-19) – Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) has officially dropped her bid for the presidency, she told staff in a phone call Tuesday morning.
Kamala Harris’s husband, Douglas Emhoff, tweeted a picture of the couple embracing with the caption: “I’ve got you. As always.”
To my supporters, it is with deep regret—but also with deep gratitude—that I am suspending my campaign today.
But I want to be clear with you: I will keep fighting every day for what this campaign has been about. Justice for the People. All the people.https://t.co/92Hk7DHHbR

The senator from California started strongly in the crowded democratic presidential primary, posting a strong performance in the first debate in Miami in June.
But in polling terms she could never break into the first rank of candidates, which former vice president Joe Biden still leads.
