On Tuesday February 13, Wilson County deputies captured a person of interest in connection with a string of armed robberies including the Sweet Dream Adult Novelty Store in Wilson.
Sheriff’s deputies announced that Frenchie Willie Hooks Jr,, 40, of Four Oaks was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping in connection with a Jan. 15 incident that took place at the Sweet Dream Adult Novelty Store located at 4550 US-301 in Wilson, NC. According to Wilson County Sheriff’s office chief of state Wanda Samuel, Mr. Hooks was found in Johnston County. Deputies from Wilson and Johnston counties took him into custody.
Mr. Hooks was also charged in the armed robberies in Lenoir and Harnett counties, said Samuel.
Mr. Hooks is currently in the Wilson County Detention Center under a $775,000 secured bond.
