Venom [2018] is truly one of Marvel Comics’ most enigmatic, complex and badass characters ever to be unleashed upon the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
The upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, was produced by Columbia Pictures and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing.
Development of Venom 2018 film, a spin-off from the Spider-Man film franchise, took off with producer Avi Arad in 2007. After various iterations, work on a new revamp script began in March 2017. Sony Pictures Releasing secured the film rights, though Sony also intends for the film to share the world of Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is set in the MCU after a deal between Sony and Marvel Studios.
