The Council for Global Equality is a Washington, D.C.–based coalition founded in 2008 comprising leading human rights and LGBTQ+ organizations. It brings together activists, foreign policy experts, philanthropists, and corporate partners to advocate for inclusive U.S. foreign policy that protects LGBTQI+ communities worldwide.

The Council works through coalition advocacy, accountability campaigns, and diplomatic watchdogting, urging U.S. embassies, Congress, and corporate entities to speak up for LGBTQI+ human rights.
