CHATSWORTH, CA — (August 15, 2026) — Awards season is officially getting underway for the gay adult entertainment industry as pre-nominations for the 2027 GayVN Awards are now open, giving eligible industry professionals one month to submit movies, scenes and performers for consideration across the annual awards program.
Working members of the industry may begin submitting pre-nominations immediately, with the submission window scheduled to close promptly at 11:59 p.m. on September 15, 2026. Organizers have emphasized that there will be no extension of the deadline this year.

The opening of submissions starts the countdown toward the 2027 GayVN Awards ceremony, scheduled for January 21, 2027, in Las Vegas, bringing performers, studios, directors and other industry professionals together for one of the sector’s major annual awards events.
September 15 Deadline Set for 2027 GayVN Awards Pre-Nominations
While the pre-nomination deadline is September 15, the traditional September 30 commercial release deadline for submitted material remains in place.
Industry professionals can submit through the newly redesigned AVN pre-nomination portal at submissions.avn.com.
Anyone previously approved to use the pre-nomination system may continue using their existing login credentials for this year’s submissions. Industry members who do not already have access must apply before submitting eligible work.

Pre-nominations have also opened for the 2027 AVN Awards, with eligible industry professionals able to request submission access through the same application process.
Physical Production Submissions Due September 30
Producers choosing to provide physical copies of submitted productions for awards consideration are being asked to deliver two copies of each submitted title by September 30, 2026.
