LAS VEGAS, NV — (May 28, 2026) — The first official trailer for Citizen Vigilante has dropped, unveiling a dark and violent revenge thriller from controversial filmmaker Uwe Boll. The upcoming action thriller stars Armie Hammer as a frustrated man who decides to wage his own private war against criminals after losing faith in the justice system.
Scheduled for theatrical and digital release on June 19, 2026, Citizen Vigilante marks Boll’s return to gritty vigilante storytelling with an explosive blend of street justice, underground crime networks, and brutal action sequences.
The film co-stars Costas Mandylor alongside Neb Chupin, Vjekoslav Katusin, Lennart Betzgen, and Benjamin Schnau.

Armie Hammer Leads a Ruthless Fight Against Crime
In Citizen Vigilante, Hammer portrays Sanders, a man pushed to the edge by what he sees as a broken legal system incapable of protecting innocent people. As corruption and violence spiral out of control, Sanders takes justice into his own hands by systematically hunting down dangerous criminals.
The newly released trailer teases high-speed chases, brutal hand-to-hand combat, underground mafia operations, and a relentless anti-hero willing to cross every line in pursuit of justice.
Costas Mandylor stars as Henry, while Vjekoslav Katusin appears as a feared Arab Mafia Boss connected to the criminal underworld Sanders seeks to destroy.
Uwe Boll Returns to the Action Thriller Genre
Written, directed, and produced by Uwe Boll, Citizen Vigilante continues the filmmaker’s long-running fascination with revenge-driven stories and controversial anti-heroes. Boll reunites with cinematographer Mathias Neumann while Ethan Maniquis handles editing duties.
The film’s musical score is composed by Rodolfo Matulich.
In February 2026, Quiver Distribution acquired distribution rights for the project and will release the film across the United States on June 19, 2026.
