BIBB COUNTY, Alabama — ( March 14, 2026 ) — Authorities in central Alabama have arrested three women following a misconduct investigation tied to the Bibb County Jail, including a former detention employee accused of having inappropriate contact with an inmate.
According to Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade, former jail worker C. J. Graham, 41, has been charged with custodial sexual misconduct and promoting prison contraband after investigators alleged she engaged in sexual contact with a person being held at the facility.

Authorities said the case began after officials launched an internal review into potential misconduct involving jail staff and inmates. During the investigation, law enforcement officials reported discovering multiple prohibited items that had allegedly been introduced into the detention center.
Investigators say the probe also led to the arrest of Kaci Foster, 19, and Martina Brown, 25, who now face first-degree promoting prison contraband charges. Authorities allege the two individuals brought several unauthorized items into the jail, including cell phones, razors, vaping devices, earbuds, and other prohibited materials intended for inmates.

Law enforcement officials said the presence of these items raised serious security concerns inside the facility and prompted investigators to broaden the scope of the inquiry.
Sheriff Wade emphasized that the department will take swift action against anyone who compromises jail operations or violates the law.
“My office will not allow any employee or individual to compromise the safety, security, or integrity of our jail,” Wade said in a statement. “We will hold anyone accountable who violates the law or abuses their position. The citizens of Bibb County deserve professionalism and integrity from those entrusted with public safety.”
All three suspects are currently being held at the Chilton County Jail while the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional charges as investigators continue reviewing evidence related to the case.
