SAN FRANCISCO — (March 13, 2026) — NakedSword Originals is stepping into historical storytelling with its newest episodic feature “Back to Before,” a cinematic series that explores hidden LGBTQ relationships and moments of passion across different eras in history.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Raphaël Massicotte, the series blends dramatic storytelling with historical settings, taking viewers on a journey through time—from the warrior culture of ancient Greece to underground nightlife during America’s Prohibition era.

The first episode introduces a 1920s storyline where bootleggers portrayed by Arno Antino and Jack DesFeux meet in a secret speakeasy environment during the height of Prohibition. The scene highlights themes of rebellion, friendship, and hidden romance during a time when LGBTQ relationships were forced into the shadows.
Future episodes expand the historical scope of the series. One storyline moves to 1970s New York City, where characters played by Jade Desir and Joe Vanni navigate nightlife culture and underground cruising scenes that defined a generation of LGBTQ self-expression.
Another chapter travels even further back to ancient Greece, where a government official portrayed by Beau Butler encounters a celebrated warrior played by William Seed, reflecting the complex relationships and power dynamics that historians often associate with classical Greek society.
The series also explores medieval Europe, where a young squire played by Ryan Jacobs returns from battle alongside a knight portrayed by Cole Connor, highlighting loyalty, bravery, and emotional bonds formed on the battlefield.
In another storyline set during World War II, soldiers portrayed by Cole Black and Angel Santana find refuge in an isolated cabin while escaping danger, discovering connection and comfort in the midst of wartime uncertainty.
The debut episode of “Back to Before” is now streaming exclusively on NakedSword’s platform, with new installments scheduled to premiere every Wednesday. The full feature will also be available on DVD and digital download through the official store operated by Falcon Studios.
