A Modern Spin on a Dance Classic
“New Religion” taps directly into the legacy of Faithless’ iconic 1995 track Insomnia, widely regarded as one of the most influential electronic dance records ever produced.
Rexha revealed she sought and received approval from original Faithless members Rollo, Sister Bliss, and the late Maxi Jazz before incorporating elements of the classic track into the new production.
The result is a pulsing dance-floor anthem that bridges three decades of electronic music influence while maintaining Rexha’s signature pop energy.
A Personal Anthem for the Dance Floor
According to Rexha, “New Religion” was born during a difficult period in her life and ultimately became a creative outlet for healing.
She described the track as a “love letter to music,” explaining that stepping onto the dance floor and losing yourself in rhythm can feel almost spiritual — a form of escape and freedom during darker moments.
A Preview of Dirty Blonde
“New Religion” is the third single from Rexha’s upcoming album Dirty Blonde, scheduled for release June 12, 2026.
The project is expected to be released as a visual album, with Rexha planning to accompany every track with a visual component that expands the storytelling behind the music.
Bebe Rexha has officially partnered with independent label and distributor
EMPIRE back in January of this year, departing from her previous label, Warner Records.
Previous singles from the album include “Çike Çike” and “I Like You Better Than Me,” both signaling Rexha’s continued embrace of dance-driven pop sounds.
