LAS VEGAS — (February 20, 2026) — Former American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn has been charged with murder following the fatal shooting of his wife inside their Ohio home, according to law enforcement officials.

Authorities say Flynn was arrested Thursday by the Tipp City Police Department and booked into the county jail on charges including murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence.
Investigators allege that Flynn fatally shot his 37-year-old wife, Ashley, with a 9mm semiautomatic handgun before staging the scene to appear as a break-in.
Flynn has not been convicted of any charges, and the case remains active in the court system.
Flynn’s 911 Call Released
Audio obtained by WHIO TV captures Flynn placing a 911 call in which he claims someone broke into the home and shot his wife. During the call, Flynn can be heard sounding emotional and distressed, telling dispatchers there was blood throughout the residence and that his wife had suffered gunshot wounds.
He also reportedly told dispatchers that their children were inside the home asleep and that a garage door was left open.
