Gay Adult Star Blake Mitchell Dies at 31

OXNARD, CA — (December 17, 2025) — Gay adult performer Blake Mitchell, a former exclusive model for Helix Studios, has died at the age of 31 following a motorcycle accident in Oxnard, California. Authorities confirmed that the fatal crash occurred Monday afternoon, December 15, near the intersection of Raytheon Road and East Hueneme Road in the Oxnard Plains area.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved Mitchell’s motorcycle and a box truck traveling westbound on Hueneme Road. The driver of the truck, a 32-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The crash occurred in the roadway median, and the cause remains under investigation. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Born Lane Vincent Rogers in Lexington, Kansas, Mitchell was remembered in an online memorial as a person whose warmth and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

“Lane brought joy and laughter to every room he entered,” the memorial read. “His passion for life, kindness, and easygoing nature made people feel valued and appreciated. Though his life was tragically cut short, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.”

Liam Riley, CEO of the Pillowtalk with Ryan Pownall podcast, told industry press that Mitchell had recently arrived in Los Angeles for planned collaborations. The two attended the Los Angeles Rams vs. Detroit Lions game on Sunday night, a team Mitchell passionately supported and held season tickets for. Riley said Mitchell had mentioned renting a motorcycle during his stay.

Mitchell began his adult career in 2015, making his debut with Helix Studios, where he later became an exclusive performer. He also appeared in productions for Cockyboys.com and Bel Ami, quickly gaining popularity for his athletic build, preppy appearance, and broad appeal within the “twunk” category.

In 2019, Mitchell was featured as a character in the Rise Up novel series by author Taylor Saracen, inspired by Helix Studios performers. That same year, he appeared in Bel Ami’s documentary-style release Blake Mitchell Is an American in Prague. In 2020, Mitchell won the GayVN Award for Favorite Body, a fan-voted honor, and was included in Cockyboys’ Summer Boys art photography book.

Although he gradually stepped back from adult work after 2020, Mitchell continued to appear in select projects through 2023. Under the handle @LaneVRogers on X, he amassed more than 786,000 followers, sharing insights into his life beyond adult entertainment, including equestrian sports and other personal interests.

Riley said Mitchell had been discussing a potential return to adult projects while exploring new passions.

“He was planning a comeback, but he was also so multi-faceted,” Riley said. “He had so many great things ahead of him.”

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Riley shared memories of their decade-long relationship and described Mitchell as “the sweetest, smartest, most charming man” he had ever known, adding that their final evening together would remain a cherished memory.

The Rogers family confirmed in an obituary that Mitchell would be deeply missed and requested privacy during this time. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
