BRENTWOOD, CA — (December 14, 2025) — Legendary Hollywood director Rob Reiner, 78, and his wife Michele Singer Reiner, 68, were found dead Sunday afternoon inside their Brentwood, Los Angeles home, police and family sources confirm.

Los Angeles Fire Department units responded to a medical aid call at approximately 3:38 p.m. at the residence in the 250 block of Chadbourne Avenue, where first responders discovered the couple deceased. Officials believe the victims suffered fatal stab wounds and have classified the incident as an apparent homicide.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Division is leading the investigation. Law enforcement sources say no suspect has been publicly arrested, though a family member is reportedly being questioned by detectives, according to multiple news reports.
