LAS VEGAS — (September 18, 2025) — In the midst of escalating political and cultural battles facing the LGBTQ community, GLAAD has launched an inaugural class of 20 Ambassadors — a roster of high-profile creatives, leaders, and allies tasked with amplifying the organization’s mission to accelerate acceptance.

The diverse lineup includes household names such as comedian Atsuko Okatsuka, Queer Eye’s Bobby Berk, Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause, journalist Don Lemon, Emmy Award winner Niecy Nash-Betts and Jessica Betts, TV personality Ross Mathews, and actress-comedian Sherry Cola.
They are joined by Real Housewives stars Braunwyn Spinner, Meredith Marks, and Racquel Chevremont; actor Jonathan Bennett; actress Isis King; musician Scott Hoying and husband Mark Hoying of Pentatonix; actor Ronen Rubinstein; media voices Mal Glowenke and Mathilde Jourdan; NFL alum RK Russell; and actress Sasheer Zamata.
Celebrity Influence Meets Advocacy
GLAAD says the ambassador program was formed to strategically leverage celebrity platforms and personal brands in service of LGBTQ advocacy. Each ambassador’s role will be tailored to align with their passions and existing activism, while creating opportunities for them to appear at GLAAD Media Awards, Spirit Day, anti-bullying campaigns, Super Bowl events, and Pride Month initiatives.
For many on the list, the relationship with GLAAD is already established. Niecy Nash-Betts, for instance, was honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at the 35th annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, where she received a standing ovation after her rousing call to “continue the fight for equality and normalize that love is love.”
Strengthening Visibility in a Critical Moment
GLAAD emphasized that this first-ever ambassador class comes at a crucial time when LGBTQ Americans face increasing legislative attacks, disinformation campaigns, and cultural pushback. By recruiting high-profile allies and voices across entertainment, sports, and media, the organization aims to expand its reach and influence in the national conversation.
“Representation matters — and with this inaugural class, we are bringing together influential voices who will strengthen our mission of acceptance,” the organization stated.
