LAS VEGAS — (August 21, 2025) — Global superstar Doja Cat has officially kicked off her Vie era with the sizzling new single “Jealous Type”, a funk-pop and disco-pop anthem that’s already igniting fan buzz worldwide.

Released on August 21, 2025, via Kemosabe and RCA Records, Jealous Type is produced by hitmakers Jack Antonoff and Y2K, delivering an irresistible retro groove paired with raw emotional honesty. The track clocks in at just under three minutes but hits with full force as Doja confesses: “Baby, I can’t hurt you, sure, but I’m the jealous type.”

A Vulnerable New Direction

Doja Cat first teased the single during her Outside Lands festival performance, where she also previewed two additional Vie cuts, “Cards” and “Take Me Dancing.” The song explores the complexities of jealousy and relationships while layering a disco-inspired beat that proves impossible to sit still through.

Fans caught their first taste of the track in a Marc Jacobs campaign spot earlier this year, followed by a wave of teaser art on Instagram. The hype only intensified after Jealous Type briefly leaked online before being swiftly taken down — sparking even more anticipation.
