LAS VEGAS, NV — (June 23, 2025) — For the second time in his presidency, Donald Trump has declined to recognize Pride Month, instead repackaging June as “Title IX Month” — a move critics say is a deliberate slight toward the LGBTQ+ community.

“There are no plans for a proclamation for the month of June,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on June 3, confirming the administration’s intent to remain silent on Pride while uplifting Title IX as an alternative celebration.

The Department of Education followed suit, launching a Title IX awareness campaign that excludes any LGBTQ-specific messaging — reinforcing the administration’s broader effort to define gender solely by biological sex.

Trump’s team claims Title IX Month honors women and girls in sports, but LGBTQ advocates point out that it also serves as political cover for continued attacks on transgender athletes.

No Acknowledgment, No Inclusion

Unlike prior administrations that issued Pride Month proclamations, hosted LGBTQ events, or engaged communities nationwide, Trump has made no public statement in support of the LGBTQ community this year — not even a post on his Truth Social platform.

In fact, the administration has doubled down by scrubbing the “T” from official LGBTQ language across federal websites and documents, including signage at the Stonewall National Monument — erasing the legacy of transgender activists who were central to the 1969 uprising.

While the Trump team did acknowledge Pride briefly in a 2019 tweet during his first term, his current agenda has shifted sharply toward LGB-only terminology, effectively sidelining the transgender community in a year already filled with legislative rollbacks.

As Pride Month 2025 continues, the Trump administration’s silence speaks volumes. Follow JRL CHARTS for continued coverage of LGBT politics.
