WASHINGTON, D.C — (May 27, 2025) — In a stunning political twist, former President Donald Trump called Savannah Chrisley from the Oval Office on Tuesday to inform her that he will be pardoning her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley — the former reality TV stars from Chrisley Knows Best — who were convicted in 2022 for defrauding banks of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans.
Todd Chrisley is currently serving a 12-year federal prison sentence, while Julie Chrisley was sentenced to seven years. The couple rose to fame through their USA Network reality series, but their luxurious lifestyle ultimately led to criminal convictions for bank fraud and tax evasion.
The announcement came via Trump White House communications aide Margo Martin, who posted a tweet showing the moment Trump called Savannah Chrisley, who had notably spoken at the 2024 Republican National Convention. Martin’s caption read:
“BREAKING: Trump Knows Best!”
