NORFOLK, VA — (08-23-24) — LGBT Life Center of Norfolk employees arrived at work last Thursday to find the facility vandalized with anti-LGBT messages written on signs at their building. The center’s CEO Stacie Walls, told local reporters that “It’s a reminder that there’s more work to do”.
The LGBT Life Center have been serving the Hampton Roads’ LGBT community at their location based at 5360 Robin Hood Rd since 2018. The organization continues to provide the LGBT community with health services, housing assistance, transportation and access to their food bank.

CEO Stacie Walls told reporters that before Thursday, the LGBT Life Center had not experienced any hate crime issues before the signs were installed.
“For a community that is already usually marginalized and underserved, it is hate. It just reminds us that there is more work to do,” Walls told 13 News Now in Norfolk.
