BUTLER, PA — (07-13-24) — Former president Donald Trump was shot during his rally in Butler on Saturday, when a gunmen open fired on the stage, grazing the former president and current Republican nominee’s right ear. Secret service raced to the stage to protect the former president while secret service officers were busy taking out the gunmen.
Secret service said that the gunmen had been “neutralized,” according to multiple law enforcement sources. One other attendee was shot and is in serious condition.
Trump was rushed off stage after loud bangs were heard as he spoke. The Secret Service says Trump is safe and under protective measures. A spokesperson said Trump is “fine” and referred to the shooting as a “heinous act,”.
