WASHINGTON D.C — (07-11-24) — Former president Donald Trump and his Republican party have removed all language pertaining to anti-gay marriage in their 2024 platform. This was shocking to say the least considering the Republican party has been on an anti-LGBT crusade over the past 4 years.
In their new 2024 platform Republicans, the document says absolutely nothing about gay marriage. There is no endorsement of “traditional marriage” nor a call to overturn the Supreme Court’s historic decision on gay marriage. The absence of a formal position implies that Republican candidates are trying to take Americans for fools once again.
In fact, GOP media outlets are pushing the narrative that by not mentioning gay marriage in their 2024 platform, this will neuter the Democrat’s scaremongering about how gay marriage is in jeopardy if Trump is reelected. However no one with common sense and not suffering from amnesia are buying it.
One has to wonder what political stunt will the GOP and Trump pull out of their rabbit’s hat next.
