Austin Wolf Arrested on Federal Child Porn Charges in NYC

NEW YORK, NY — (06-29-24) — Veteran gay adult film star Austin Wolf was arrested and ordered held without bail on alleged charges of child pornography in New York City. According to authorities, the popular gay adult film star is accused of “sending and receiving hundreds of videos of child pornography”.

Born Justin Heath Smith but known by his stage name, Austin Wolf, is scheduled to appear in Manhattan federal court on Friday on one count of distribution and receipt of child pornography.

According to the Southern District of New York, Smith allegedly used the Telegram social media platform to allegedly exchange hundreds of videos with another person.

The unsealed complaint states that in March, Smith’s anonymous Telegram account exchanged CSAM with an account that was seized and searched by the FBI. An undercover FBI agent started messaging Smith’s account, where Smith later revealed personal details, according to the complaint.

Following the Telegram chat, federal authorities conducted a search back in April of the 43-year-old’s Manhattan apartment, where prosecutors said they recovered an SD card containing hundreds of videos of child porn.

The videos recovered by federal agents allegedly contained children as young as infants, and in at least one case depicted a 10-year-old child bound and raped by a man.

In a statement ot the press on Friday, FBI Assistant Director in Charge James Smith said…“I want to make it clear that those who distribute child sexual abuse images and prey upon the most vulnerable in our society will be punished. Each image is a crime scene, leaving lasting scars on innocent victim,” said Smith.

According federal authorities, Telegram is known for being a freewheeling online environment where content that’s been banned elsewhere can potentially be published or traded with less scrutiny.

The charge against Smith carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum of 20 years.
