HOLLYWOOD, CA — (06-15-20) — SpongeBob SquarePants’ has official come out as Gay, according to a tweet posted by Nickelodeon on Saturday in support of PRIDE month.
Nickelodeon even attached photos of three canon characters as a clear indicator they’re all part of the LGBTQ+ community. Of course without blatantly saying it in words.
The tweet heard round the Krusty Krab tweeted, “Celebrating #Pride with the LGBTQ+ community and their allies this month and every month.

Review all of the characters Nickelodeon tweeted in a rainbow color background, Sponge, Schwoz Schwartz from ‘Henry Danger,’ and Korra from the ‘Avatar’ spin-off show ‘Legend of Korra’.
We congratulate Nickelodeon for showing their support for the LGBTQ Community.
