WASHINGTON D.C. — (02-05-20) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tore up her copy of President Donald Trump’s speech at the conclusion of his State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

Was this payback for the snub of a handshake Trump gave her after shaking Vice President Mike Pence’s hand?

The event was marked by concurrent spectacles. Trump’s speech, your usual GOP hardline immigration invective and boasts about the economy, also featured the president awarding a schoolgirl with a scholarship, presenting Rush Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and reuniting a military family.

In fact Rush Limbaugh who announced on Monday that he has advanced Lung Cancer, got emotional as Trump announced he would be receiving the Medal of Freedom.

After Trump appeared to snub her attempt at a handshake, she sat their with her animated presence behind the Trump during his 90 minute speech. She shook her head at times, and at one point — when Trump claimed Democrats want to grant health care to undocumented immigrants, Pelosi was caught twice mouthing “that’s not true.”

When asked by an ABC News reporter why she tore up her copy of Trump’s speech, Pelosi replied, “It was such a dirty speech.”
