PIERRE, SD — (01-29-20) — GOP Lawmaker compared doctors who treat transgender children to Nazis. Son of a Auschwitz survivor, South Dakota State Rep. Fred Deutsch had the nerve to say such a comment while the world remembered the liberation of Auschwitz last week.
The reason for saying such an outrageous comment was to get the attention of conservatives to their legislature considering the nation’s first of its kind law that could send doctors to jail for treating transgender children younger than 16 with hormone therapy or surgery.
State Rep. Fred Deutsch made his comment last week while the world was remembering the liberation 75 years ago of Auschwitz, the Nazi Germany-operated concentration camp in occupied Poland, where more than 1 million people, most of whom were Jewish, were killed in gas chambers.
“To me, that’s a crime against humanity when these procedures are done by these so-called doctors,” said state Rep. Fred Deutsch (R) to the Family Research Council president Tony Perkins in an interview on Wednesday.
With Fred Deutsch intensifying is crusade against doctors treating transgenders, we are sure to see him make more outrageous comments.
