MENLO PARK, CA — (08-14-19) — LGBTQ YouTube producers have slapped Google LLC and its subsidiary YouTube LLC, with a class action lawsuit alleging the online video platform giant discriminates against LGBTQ content.
The complaint alleges that Google and YouTube are illegally restricting protected LGBTQ content while allowing homophobic and racist comments to be posted on the LGBTQ YouTube channel comments platforms.

According to the complaint filed Aug. 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Divino Group LLC, producer of an online LGBTQ news show, and other YouTube producers, alleged that the company violated California’s free speech guarantee and breached its promise to apply content regulations.
