ST. LOUIS — (01-28-19) — Police arrest and charge John Dwayne Phillips Jr., in the armed robbery of the popular Patricia’s adult novelty store back on New Year’s Eve.
John Dwayne Phillips Jr., 39, is charged with robbery and armed criminal action.
One of the employees of the popular adult retail giant, Patricia’s Adult Novelty store located at 3552 Gravois Ave, said that Phillips came into the store, pointed a gun at her and told her that he would kill her if she didn’t open the cash register within 30 seconds.
The employee told police that Phillips then began counting, “One Mississippi, two Mississippi…” The Patricia’s adult novelty store employee opened the register and handed John Dwayne Phillips the undisclosed amount of cash.
The St. Louis Police department’s detectives watched security footage of the crime and recognized Phillips. The employee identified Phillips in a photo lineup.
John Dwayne Phillips Jr., is being held at the St. Louis City Justice Center in lieu of $100,000 cash-only bail.
